A Handsome Businessman
Jeremy was new to the office. Fresh out of college, he had gotten the position as an intern after a lot of networking, and really wanted to turn this opportunity into a full-time position.
He knew it would take some real effort and skill to be able to impress his bosses, but a lot of days, it was hard for Jeremy to keep his confidence up. After all, he was younger, less experienced, and obviously less valued in the company as the intern.
Everyone else in the office seemed to have known each other for years, while Jeremy had a hard time remembering everyone’s name, or even coming up with good topics of conversation. It didn’t help that everyone else drove nicer cars, ate lunch at expensive cafes and wore much nicer clothes than he did.
And, while Jeremy knew that they had worked there much longer than he had, it still made him feel like he was in way over his head.
So, despite the fact that he didn’t have a huge amount of cash flow, Jeremy went to Val Parks and invested in some quality business shirts. Jeremy liked their business shirts in particular because they were really sharp and even came with coordinating ties and cuff links. At the office, people took notice when Jeremy began coming in wearing a light purple striped herringbone business shirt and pinstriped trousers.
He began to get compliments about his professional appearance and queries as to where he got his unique and professional business shirts from. This was just what Jeremy needed to boost his confidence and help him fit in. Maybe he still drove the junkiest car in the company, but he had a feeling that if he kept working as hard as he would, that wouldn’t be the case for long.
